Let’s embark on an enchanting journey, exploring the narrow streets of the Historic Town of Jeddah and learning about a living history of over 600 heritage buildings, more than 30 mosques and 5 historic souks.

Our experienced and friendly local Saudi tour guide will take you on a 2 hour tour around the old town and make sure to make you feel how life used to be in Al Balad.

The tour is available in English, French and Arabic.

For a better experience, we suggest our visitors plan their tour from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Overview of the tour

The tour will start from Al Madina Gate, at this point, you will meet our friendly guide, licensed by the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia, she will give you an introduction of what to expect next.

Explore the streets, enjoy an exclusive interaction with locals and get the opportunity to visit a traditional house from inside, feeling like old days and how life used to be inside typical Saudi homes. Our Saudi Hospitality will be waiting for you, dates and saudi coffee will be served.

Visit of the oldest mosque in the Red Sea coastal city, Al Shafi’i mosque was named after Imam Muhammad ibn Idris Al-Shafi’i, one of the four imams of Islam who was born in 767. The mosque is 1400 years old and brick, stone, sea mud and wood were used to build it.

The visit will continue and our visitors will keep exploring, discovering more and more traditionals styles and history, stops will be made in the most important houses and the tour will end at the famous old market : Alawi Market, where you can get some souvenirs of your journey and explore craftsmanship and handmade goods.
